“Lovely hotel, very clean and our accessible room was perfect for my husband who is in a wheelchair. Only downside is the bar ran out of guiness bailys, dark rum. and tanqeuray, its was new years eve so you would think they been well stocked. The staff however were fabulous, so very helpful.”

“Just returned home after a one night stay, the room was small but perfect, it had everything we required and more. We had our meal in the restaurant which we really enjoyed, and had breakfast before we left. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and the place is spotless. Most of all the staff are excellent, look forward to stopping again very soon.”

“I just had a really relaxing holiday and overall, it was fantastic! The room was spacious with a massive comfy bed and an excellent shower, plus I really appreciated the warm greetings and smooth check-in from the staff. The evening meal we had was top-notch, and I couldn’t have asked for better service. Just a small note: it would have been nice to have a couple of armchairs in a room, but it didn’t spoil my break at all. Highly recommend this place!”

“Lovely stay. Beautiful place. Friendly staff warm welcome. Lovely food, good selection. The only down side i found is the windows on our room did not open. Very hot weekend. Although a fan was provided. Everything else great.”

“An ideal location for your stay on the east coast plus the Whitby park-n-ride is directly opposite. After a very friendly welcome at check-in you are directed to your room, ours was a mezzanine room in the courtyard. The downstairs space is quite sparse and not that appealing; the bed settee is not comfortable to sit on either. The upstairs bedroom is very well laid out with the most comfortable bed ever. If you’re tall, mind your head bumping on the ceiling. The bathroom is a good size with all the amenities you’d expect plus a fabulous shower. Breakfast may be included in your room rate, is buffet style and very comprehensive covering all tastes. You can also order a hot breakfast at the bar and this too is very tasty. Evening meals are exceptional! The portions are huge and the menu covers all tastes with a larger than normal choice for veggies. The only negative for staying here is the noise made by the three peacocks in the gardens, they make a sound that will wake up the deepest of deep sleepers.”
